About

Aurélie Goarzin is a self-taught painter, originally from Reunion Island (French overseas department). She is married and mother of four beautiful children.

She made her beginnings at the age of seven in the André Chrisloup’s studio where she learned the technique of oil painting and became passionate about it, as she testifies: "From an early age, my parents saw in me a need to express myself through drawing and painting, and thanks to their sacrifices, I was able to do so. As a child, I had my little corner in the garage of the house to draw and paint as I pleased. Around the age of seven, they enrolled me in art classes with the painter André Chisloup. This allowed me to surpass myself and that's when I gained confidence. I was nine years old when I exhibited for the first time, in the hall of an hospital. I remember it like it was yesterday because at that time I was making my parents proud. My father was an artist at heart but he was never able to exploit this talent. I must say that this attraction for drawing and painting is a legacy he passed on to me. »

Over the years, the artist somewhat abandoned her passion to devote herself to her studies and the missionary trips that she undertooks in Africa, Madagascar and the Seychelles.

In 2019, the artist reconnects with her talent and decides to create her own business as a professional. It is officially affiliated with the Maison Des Artistes (MDA).

In 2020, she became a member of the Union des Artistes Réunionnais (UDAR). In 2021, she participated in her first collective exhibition organized by the City Hall of her hometown.

Her angelic side and her strength of character are inscribed in her works of art, which brings a certain power to them.

The artist uses warm and luminous colors to transcribe the expression she wishes to communicate.

Her dream is to see more artists from Reunion shine internationally.
